Pharma Packaging
Pharmaceutical companies use machine vision systems in automated production lines to inspect false blisters while packaging medicinal tablets, which may be broken / cracked or missing. Multiple cameras photograph the blister packs as they flow through the system on powered conveyors. Sophisticated computer software analyses the captured images to determine the shape and texture of the tablets and checks the packaging. Industrial robots use this information to separate and discard defected packs. A high-resolution color screen provides visual reference of the machine's operation using video images and real-time diagnostics. The system continually analyzes product variations and automatically adjusts to achieve optimum sensitivity to eliminate detection errors.
Incorrect printed price on the product or Exp. date on any drug could lead us to troublesome consequences. This makes the “Vision Inspection”system inevitable for all such industries.
