Packi is a solution to your on-line inspection requirements. It is an automated vision inspection system, developed to detect overprinting on the label, packaging carton, or any other print form in the pharmaceutical industry. It also verifies codes and patterns against error prints.
Printed information on the packaging is the only source to get the information about the product inside! Any error or mistake in this can lead the user on a wrong track, which may prove even fatal.
OCR
It can read the characters to verify them with the desired characters. This not only verifies mere presence but also confirms its correctness. Further teaching characters to PACKi is also extremely easy.
Pharma Code
PACKi can inspect the pharma code by calculating its value and verify the same with actual. This verifies that the label/carton belongs to the same batch and rules out mixing.
Bar Code
PACKi can read evaluate and verify the barcodes printed on the label or carton. No teaching is required.
2D code
2D codes (Data matrix codes) are one of the fastest growing codes in every industry. It contains a lot of information in a small area. Pack i is equipped to read, decode and verify these 2D codes.
Presence Verification
PACKi can verify presence of a particular shape on the label. Absence of this shape or any change in the same beyond the set tolerance is treated as error.

Display
An enhanced LCD screen displays the image online along with the essential graphic user interface. The specified areas on the image are colorfully highlighted to quickly indicate good or bad signal.
Touch screen
A touch screen mounted on the LCD is provided for the user to key in the commands. This eliminates the keyboard and other pointing devices .
Tower Light
A translucent tower light on top indicates good and bad signals with green and red colors along with a buzzer for errors. Thus anybody, even far away from the machine cannot miss an error.
User Rights
Pack i is protected with different user level rights -Administrator, Supervisor & Operator to minimize tampering.
Output Options
The built in PLC of Pack i is equipped to deliver two types of outputs for defective pieces -
1. Machine Stop - Instantly stops the machine on detection of a defect. Alternatively
2. Eject. The defective piece is ejected when it reaches eject station with shift register technique
Generation of log
A log file of all the events with respect to real time is automatically generated for every job. This file can be easily transferred to any other computer.
